Scan The Blue With a rotund sense of conviction bringing opening track ‘Kiss That Wealth Goodbye’ proceedings snap into life. The tempo is colourful and matures alongside the pensive derivative of the vocals with the zest it brings to proceedings. Everything that is there for the taking is seized upon as it takes flight. The steady direction of ‘Bend The Wind’ accommodates a giving sense of sophistication which is mirrored in how the movement filters through in the arrangement. It clocks in sensibly which gives the climb of the tempo a steady eventuality all of its own makings alongside the inviting weight of the vocals. ‘Place Your Bets’ is a fluid number that saunters across. It is also accessible in a choice manner that is carefully judged. The savoury distinction is reasoned well in the structuring and carries the track through deliberately. You are captivated by the way ‘Desperado’ comes to pass. Found in the elements is a savoury demure which is delivered in equal fashion. The underlying intensity runs through in the well-versed formations and pulls through the more attentive aspects with vigour. With a careful sauntering abounding in the deliberation, ‘Feet Don’t Fall’ carefully falls into place. An affluent realisation meets a sterling deliberation in the musical sense. This sees the sunken feel of the flight veer on the right side of tidy, but it is a seamless display of sophistication in terms of how it moves. A formidable bravado announces ‘Job Done’. A prevailing impact

10 hits with the running. This is taken stock of squarely and is denoted equally in the weight of turn in the tempo. An awning carries a pensive foray with ‘Smile To The Gallery’ that accentuates the higher reach of the instrumental work. It is a passive number and the attention to detail employed collectively brings it together. Something of a 60’s revisionist vibe kicks in with ‘Plan Retrieval’. A highly proactive approach in terms of how it is carried off. Everything resonating here is colourful and contends a lay psychedelic fanfare in how it sounds. But the deadened cut of the vocals equally piques interest for the listener and suits the hazy kaleidoscope in the sound. Abounding with a slick intention is ‘The Rot Sets In’. From the outset it is given focus with this harder derivative elegantly coming through. The tactful way the weathered touches favourably rise gives it some further contention. Favourably this approach is tidied away and, in turn, a rich notoriety is also picked up upon in the overall movement. Glam-rock chic sets in with ‘Wild Eyes’ which really sees it cut to the chase. It is an animated number with a real air of confidence coming off by design. Not only is it steady on its feet but everything about it champions what a great tune should be about. The eponymous ‘Scan The Blue’ brings the album to a close with the sophistication keyed in bringing an air of grace to proceedings. This traps a warmer approach in the movement. Yet it draws upon a lavish accommodation in the neater expression of the lyrical projection and what this brings to the table. It signifies everything that is there to be cherished for the track and keys it all in accordingly.
