To mark the end of the International Year of Forests CINECINE-ONU invites you to the final screening of 2011

Children of The Amazon Wednesday, 14 December - 6:30pm at the Goethe Institute Brussels A stunning documentary by Denise Zmekhol on the environmental and emotional decimation exacted upon the Surui and Negarote tribes of the Amazon rainforest as a result of logging and highway development. ”…a moving and powerful film…in the most sympathetic way possible, highlights the human side of rainforest destruction, which is all too easily forgotten as we confront the challenges of global climate change.” – HRH Prince Charles.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with: Denise Zmekhol (Director) who will travel from Brazil for the screening Chris Vanden Bilcke Bilcke (Head of UNEP Liaison Office to the EU) The film is in English and has a runtime of 72 mins.
