INTRODUCTION When the time came to decide on a topic for my senior project, I knew I wanted to make a project related with movies. That's why I decided to prepare a book of movie quotes because famous film quotes are regularly referenced in culture and eventually understood and recognized by people who have never seen the original film. The purpose of generating this book is to provide people, who are watching and collecting movies, with something that might be valuable for their own collection. While selecting my list of 25 Imperishable Movie Quotes, I first turned to the AFI's list of 100 movie quotes. In addition to that, I've benefited from numerous articles and movie critics. Each quote had to be widely known and referenced in popular movie culture. I hope that the audience will recognize every quote easily. The books are created in the range of specific time periods, 2000's, 1990's and 1980's. While creating the book, I set up each quote on its own spread only accompanied by a screenshot from the film. I also added an iconic illustration related with the movie. I hope it will give each person a chance to remember the films. Moreover, I wanted to use unique typeface for each quote to provide visual cues to the film. For each quote, a different typeface was chosen that was either the exact font used for the marketing of the film or one quite similar. Each quote presented the opportunity to adjust the typography and the interaction between type and iconic illustration. I strove to make each quote distinctive so the viewer gets a sense of the language as well as the film. I hope you get even more pleasure after every page flipping. Moreover, I admit that, not every great quote could be included on this list, but every quote on this list is great. In addition to that, you will have a chance to replenish yourself with this treasury of memorable dialogues from various famous films. The quotes are one page each and the information about their sources is available on the next page. You'll find lots of familiar quotes, even less common ones, plus a generous helping of "Movie Trivia" lines.

This time, he is out to avenge the murder of his lover and the maiming of his fretting hand, which occurred at the end of the earlier movie. However, the plot is recapitulated, and again, a case of mistaken identity leads to a very high body count, involvement with a beautiful woman who works for the local drug lord, and finally, the inevitable face-to-face confrontation and bloody showdown.

It also refers to a set of 88 precepts written by the neo-nazi leader David Lane. The 88 precepts are rules and concepts that all White Supremacists lived by.

Derek Vineyard is paroled after serving 3 years in prison for killing two thugs who tried to break into/steal his truck. Through his brother, Danny Vineyard's narration, we learn that before going to prison, Derek was a skinhead and the leader of a violent white supremacist gang that committed acts of racial crime throughout L.A. and his actions greatly influenced Danny. Reformed and fresh out of prison, Derek severs contact with the gang and becomes determined to keep Danny from going down the same violent path as he did.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, MAN.

THE BIG LEBOWSKI 1998

The word “dude” is used around 161 times in the movie. 160 spoken and once in text in the credits for “Gutterballs” the second dream sequence and The Dude says “man” 147 times in the movie, nearly 1.5 times a minute.

When "The Dude" Lebowski is mistaken for a millionaire Lebowski, two thugs urinate on his rug to coerce him into paying a debt he knows nothing about. While attempting to gain recompense for the ruined rug from his wealthy counterpart, he accepts a one-time job with high pay-off. He enlists the help of his bowling buddy, Walter, a gun-toting Jewish-convert with anger issues. Deception leads to more trouble, and it soon seems that everyone from porn empire tycoons to nihilists want something from The Dude.

I’m tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world. Mostly, I’m tired of people being ugly to each other.

THE GREEN MILE 1999

Paul Edgecomb is a slightly cynical veteran prison guard on Death row in the 1930's. His faith, and sanity, deteriorated by watching men live and die, Edgecomb is about to have a complete turn around in attitude. Describing John Coffey, he's eight feet tall and he has hands the size of waffle irons. He's been accused of the murder of two children... and he's afraid to sleep in a cell without a night-light. And Edgecomb, as well as the other prison guards - Brutus, a sympathetic guard, and Percy, a stuck up, perverse, and violent person, are in for a strange experience that involves intelligent mice, brutal executions, and the revelation about Coffey's innocence and his true identity.

Originally, Tom Hanks was going to play the Old Paul Edgecomb but the makeup tests didn’t make him look credible enough to be an elderly man. Dabbs Greer was cast instead as the older Paul Edgecomb.

Who Said It: Michael Clarke Duncan as John Coffey Director: Frank Darabont Stars: Tom Hanks, Michael Clarke Duncan, David Morse , Michael Clarke Duncan Box Office Gross: $286,801,374 (2000) Oscars: 4 Nomination 54
