Research promotion at the HSG The HSG supports researchers – and young researchers in particular – through personal advice and through events about the various options of research funding, but also through its own funding instruments. The team of the Grants Office St.Gallen consists of the office of the Research Committee (for questions concerning funding instruments at the HSG and in Switzerland), the office of the Ethics Committee (for questions concerning the ethical soundness of research projects) and Euresearch St.Gallen (for questions concerning research funding by the EU). This contact point will provide you with various support options for your research and your own academic career.
SNSF research grants If you are interested in a research grant from the SNSF, we recommend that you consult the Grants Office St.Gallen (research@unisg.ch) early on.
Excellence scholarships of the SNF (Doc. CH) PhD students at the early stage of their studies have the opportunity to apply for an excellence scholarship of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). The scholarship is provided for a period of 2-4 years and serves to cover the cost of living and further costs of the research project. Mobility scholarships of the SNSF (Doc.Mobility, Early Postdoc.Mobility) SNSF scholarships provide researchers at the start of their academic careers with the possibility of a relatively long stay at a foreign research institute. Funding amounts to a contribution towards the cost of living, as well as lump sums for travelling, research expenses and attendance at congresses.
