There are three things I love about this area of the media:

/ Umlaut (global full-service agency)

/ AO (electronics retailer)

/ McCann (global marketing services company).

1. The creativity. There is really no such thing as a ‘format’ in social, advertising and e-commerce - it is a space that chews through ideas, and the goalposts are always moving, so the more you have the better! Expression in the technical, cultural, creative and strategic are all important so this is the place for your infinite ideas to flourish!

2. Every day is different. One minute you’re writing down an idea that sounds a bit farfetched...the next minute you’re on the phone trying to find out how to hire a highland cow as a background artist. This job takes you to lots of different places, meeting lots of people, and you never stop learning.

3. The job evolves with you. Whatever you want to do, the course will help you find your passion and focus your portfolio towards your goals. If you’re passionate about football, you could find yourself creating content at Manchester City TV. If you want to give something back, perhaps you might find yourself running social at the British Red Cross. Your ability to capture and communicate stories gives you a foundation that you can take to virtually any arena, helping you to express yourself and work within meaningful teams. And if your goal changes as you develop as a person, no problem, you can take your skills to any area of work that satisfies you.
