Offer Holder Day

Tuesday 23 April 2024, 09:30-16:00

Thank you for joining us today for your Offer Holder Day. We hope that today will give you a flavour of what life is like as an undergraduate student here at the University of Salford and that it answers any questions you might have.

Please find below an overview of what’s happening today. If you have any questions, please have a chat with any of the team at the check-in desk or ask our student ambassadors in red tops who’ll be happy to help.

How does today work? Morning sessions

The morning sessions are optional, and you will have had the chance to book onto them when registering for the event online. Don’t worry if you didn’t book, or if you want to change your mind, it’s no problem. For all activities, you will be collected from here in the SEE Building and we’ll take you to the activity.

Lunch break

Lunch will be arriving at around 11:45 and will be served until 13:00, giving you time to attend all the optional morning sessions. Lunch includes halal and vegan options or, if you’d prefer to find an alternative, there are several cafeterias, cafés, and the student shop serving hot and cold food.

Afternoon sessions

Life at Salford Talk

At 13:15 will be your Life at Salford Talk. We realise it’s a little quirky to have this in the middle of the day rather than first thing, but as the morning is optional, it’s the first time the whole group will be together. You will have the opportunity to hear from one of our current students.

Course sessions

At the end of the Life at Salford Talk we’ll divide you into groups and take you to your course session for a 14:00 start. These will take place across all three campuses. Your course schedule will provide you with further information regarding which campus you will be based on.

If you are based at our MediaCity campus, there will be free coaches to take you to the campus at 13:40 following the Life at Salford talk. After your course sessions, there will be three returning coaches to Peel Park campus at 16:15, 16:30 and 16:45 if you need to come back. If you are based at our Peel Park or Frederick Road campuses, we will walk you to where you need to be.

Most course sessions will last around two hours, with some continuing a little later depending on the type of activity you’re doing. Most sessions will include a refreshment break and parents, carers and supporters are welcome to stay with applicants for the session or have a wander round campus/grill us with any burning questions.

I have more questions!

We hope you’ve enjoyed your day! When you get home, if more questions spring to mind then please contact the Recruitment Team on 0161 295 4545 or enquiries@salford.ac.uk. We’re happy to help.
