“Our Society welcomes students not just from Italy, but from anywhere in the world. Each year we organise cultural events and celebrations which are aimed to spread our Italian traditions and make people interested on it. We always take part in the International Food and Culture Festival on campus with other societies, which gives us the possibility to prepare and offer some of our delicious food.”

“The Indian Student Society is one of the most active international societies at the University and we welcome students from all around the world to get involved and have fun. We also have been acknowledged with the award of best contributing society in 2014/15.
“Our society has grown over the years to represent our country and work very closely with other international student societies and get involved in all the campus events. Being a part of the society has opened my eyes to the world and allowed me to make new friends too.
“We participate along with many nationalities in various cultural and sports events both on and off campus. We celebrate traditional Indian festivals such as Eid, Diwali, Christmas, Holi, Indian Republic Day and find a lot of students who want to learn more about these events.”
“The campus events are a great way of socialising and communicating with other people and also exchanging cultures, languages and traditions and learning something new along the way. I recommend Huddersfield because the environment is great.”
