Applying to UCF Admissions

Space is limited at UCF; we encourage students to apply as early as possible. By applying early, students get a head-start on applying for scholarships and housing, as well as a faster response time. The easiest way to apply is online at admissions.ucf.edu . Be sure to submit the signature page and residency affidavit

along with the application fee. Or you can send us a paper application. UCF operates on a rolling admissions basis, with deadlines for each semester. Students are generally notified of an admission decision two to four weeks after we receive all official supporting documents.

Freshmen A freshman applicant is a student with 11 or fewer credit hours of college course work after high school graduation. Admission to UCF is offered based upon a review of the high school academic record, quality and difficulty of courses taken, weighted GPA, grade trends, and SAT or ACT scores.

Requirem ents UCF requires 18 high school units. Students must complete: • English—4 years • Math—3 years (Algebra I and above)* • Science and Social Studies—3 years • Foreign language—2 years (in sequence) • Academic electives—complete 3

SAT scores are compiled using the highest critical reading and math sub scores from each test taken. ACT scores are based on the highest reported composite score. * S tudents applying for admission in 2011 or later are required to complete 4 years of math.
