• UCF has its own music label called Flying Horse Records. The jazz label produces and releases music that has been nominated for Grammy Awards and reached the top of JazzWeek’s “Top 50” airplay chart. • UCF Celebrates the Arts, the college’s annual student showcase, takes over the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Orlando for a week of music, theater, dance and multimedia events. • Student filmmakers won an Emmy at the 37th College Television Awards for Filthy Dreamers, a documentary about the challenges to academic freedoms at Florida State College for Women in the 1920s.
