A dash of lavender will add a faint flowery twist to transform your summertime staple to a beautiful shade of violet. Speaking of shade, this is the perfect drink to cool down and chill out with at your next picnic, pool party, or backyard barbeque. Add a splash of bubbly or tequila to turn this refreshing drink into a boozy cocktail!

Make it Sparkle

Replace 4 cups of water with 4 cups of sparkling water. Make it Bubbly Replace 4 cups of water with 2 cups of champagne and 2 cups of water. Make it a Marg Add 4 shots of tequila and mix.

Lavender Simple Syrup

• 1 cup water • 1 cup sugar • 1 tbsp dried lavender

1 . In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water. 2. Over medium heat, stir until sugar is dissolved. 3. Add the dried lavender and remove from heat. 4. Cover and let the syrup cool down for 1-2 hours depending on how strong you prefer the lavender flavor. The longer the let the lavender seep, the stronger the taste! 5. Using a fine mesh strainer, strain lavender from the simple syrup.

The Drink

• 1 ½ cups of fresh lemon juice (5-6 lemons) • 4 cups of water • Ice

Lemon and fresh lavender to garnish Optional: 1 drop of purple food coloring

1 . Squeeze your lemons and set aside. 2. Pour water and lemon juice into a pitcher. 3. Add food coloring. 4. Stir to combine and serve over ice. 5. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of lavender.
