Los tres parques del Centro Histórico de Cartagena tienen una atmósfera tan acogedora, que la gente los usa más como refugio que como sitio de descanso. Tal vez en ningún otro lugar se respira ese aire descomplicado que caracteriza a la ciudad, que en estos tres islotes de árboles frondosos y conversaciones mezcladas, encerrados entre casas antiguas y calles que mantienen el concreto indestructible de mediados del siglo XX. Aunque los parques no tengan el atractivo de un viaje a las Islas, o de una visita a los imponentes monumentos históricos, una tarde apacible sentado en cualquiera de sus bancas resulta una experiencia asombrosa.

There are three parks in the Historic Center of Cartagena that have such a welcoming atmosphere that some people use them more as a shelter than as a place to rest. Perhaps there is no other place where you can feel more at peace than in these three parks. Filled with trees, avid conversations, and surrounded by old houses with streets that still maintain their indestructible mid twentieth century cobble streets. Although the parks do not have the same appeal as a trip to the islands or a visit to the impressive monuments, a peaceful afternoon sitting in any of these parks an amazing experience.
