WELL ROUNDED LEADERS The President of Union, Dr. Michael Reeves has said: We want to see the worldwide church grow – to see individual churches blessed, revitalised and going on to plant more churches. But if churches are to be vibrant, they need leaders who truly love God and share his passions. Through our education, training and resources, we are raising wellrounded leaders who delight in God, grow in Christ, serve the church and bless the world.

LEARNING AT UNION CALGARY The Learning Community at Union Calgary is a new method of theological training for aspiring pastors and missionaries in Western Canadian churches.
The Learning Community (LC) meets one day per week, every week throughout the school year (September-December; January-May). Each gathering of the LC begins with a chapel time that is organized by students. This will give a taste of the regular service planning which is needed in pastoral ministry. After the word and prayer time of the chapel, the LC will begin its three modules from the Union Cloud. The courses are online-based and are viewed collectively in the classroom but individually on student laptops. At various points, the LC will pause and the Lead Mentor will offer clarification or discussion. At the end of the three modules, the LC will conclude its study together by eating a meal and applying the days modules in a guided discussion. | PAGE 8
In this way, there is life-on-life community as well as theological training via Union.
