LAW AND CRIMINOLOGY
The legal and criminal justice systems offer valued career paths that make a difference to society. Our degrees provide the theory and practical skills you need to work in these fields.
Professional Recognition
All our undergraduate Law degrees are recognised as Qualifying Law Degrees (QLD) and are professionally accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). This means that they satisfy the academic stage of training for progression to the professional stage to become a solicitor or a barrister.
REAL-LIFE CASES
The Innocence Project gives our Criminology students a chance to work on real cases and investigations, with the potential to overturn a miscarriage of justice. We also operate a Cold Case Unit where students work with policing and missing person experts.
Practical Learning And Placements
Work experience is a key part of study at USW and we encourage all students to spend time in the workplace. Law students can also volunteer at our Legal Advice Clinic, offering pro bono legal advice to local businesses and members of the community.
