Our graduates have skills that employers look for and can demonstrate these through their showreels, portfolios and games. All students learn through a mixture of live project briefs and competitions, and are encouraged to undertake work experience as part of their course – anywhere in the world.

USW is home to the Film & TV School Wales and is a major breakthrough in creative industries education. It has been developed in consultation with the Welsh Government and the wider creative industries sector. Film & TV School Wales brings together a range of film and television courses to provide students with the best opportunities to build a successful career in 21st century film and television.

To be career-ready, it’s important you learn about your chosen profession in the right environment. Our studios are designed to emulate what happens in industry, including creative collaborative spaces and our industry pitching room. For technical skills, we have green screen studios, a motion capture suite, 3D printing labs, photography studios with an infinity cove, and editing and post-production suites.
