Professional Recognition

This course is professionally recognised by the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and the European Council on Chiropractic Education (ECCE). Our graduates are qualified to apply to register with the GCC, have the ability to work in European states, and are eligible to sit many entry examinations worldwide.

Practical Experience

Clinical experience is a major part of your training. The University is home to the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic – an outpatient clinic that offers diagnostic, assessment and treatment services to the public. Here, students can treat and manage real-life patients with musculoskeletal disorders, including a 13 month, professionally supervised placement.

Professional Equipment

Students learn in a professional environment with access to a digital X-ray suite, diagnostic ultrasound unit, DXA scanning unit, MRI facilities and 18 patient treatment rooms. Training is also supported by the ‘Anatomage’ – an advanced 3D anatomy visualisation table, a first for chiropractic education in Europe.

Students also spend a week at a local hospital under the supervision of a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. There are opportunities to work with University sports teams and provide care at external events such as triathlons.
