Marybeth Iani writes with news of her recent wedding: “I got married to Greg Tassinari, another UNH alum (fun fact: we met freshman year as prospective tour guides!) My husband’s parents were UNH college sweethearts too! So between my husband’s parents, his parents friends, his cousins, his friends, my siblings and their significant others (both of my brothers met their loves at UNH too!), and my friends, we had quite a UNH reunion! Ashley Hastings married Jonas Bendiks in Portsmouth, N.H. in May 2014. Ashley is a registered nurse at Boston Children’s Hospital, and Jonas is an analyst at Fidelity Investments. They live in Melrose, Mass., and honeymooned in Hawaii. Rory O’Connor is the new principal at Golden Brook School in Windham, N.H. Rory attended Golden Brook as a child, and was previously the assistant principal there. He is also pursuing a doctorate in leadership and learning from Rivier University. Kelly Collins was hired as a teacher at Main Street School in Exeter, N.H., in 2012. She previously taught in Rochester. Joanna Kinsman was inducted into the 2013 Hall of Excellence class for Fryeburg Academy. Hey class of 2008! I hope you’re all doing well and feeling good wherever you are on your path. My 10-year high school reunion recently came and went, and I realized how quickly things can pass us by. In just a few short years our 10-year college reunion will be upon us, and I hope we’ll all get the chance to revisit the place that helped launch us. We still have a ways to go though, so let’s just check out what you’ve all been up to since last time. Tyler Walker has been inspirationally skiing with the U.S. Adaptive Ski Team, and in 2014 he participated in the Sochi Olympics as part of the U.S. Paralympic Alpine Skiing Team. He has won three World Cup Globes, and has been a three-time X-Games Gold medalist. Jeremy Oneail of Goffstown, N.H., stopped by the Dover High School and Regional Career Technical Center’s cosmetology program to talk to students about special effects makeup in late October. He’s been doing special effects makeup for TV and movies since 1999. He’s worked on more than 50 productions, including shows on MTV and the Discovery Channel, and the movie Paul Blart Mall Cop. Christina Hickey is now a staff accountant at the firm of Leone, McDonnell & Roberts. Working in the Dover, N.H., office, she will assist with tax and audit services. Hickey graduated with a degree in business administration and earned her master’s of science degree in accounting in 2014. Christina spent the spring of 2012 studying abroad in Florence, Italy, as part of the University of New Hampshire’s Lorenzo D’Medici Program. She was a member of the Accounting Students Association at UNH and maintains her membership in the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants. She will assist in tax and audits. Sophie Gee was featured in a recent Portsmouth Herald (N.H.)article. She is now the co-owner with her mother of Jane Gee, a cosmetics store in downtown Portsmouth. The shop recently changed downtown locations (it’s now located at 107 Congress St., Portsmouth). Proud mom Jane Gee told the Herald, “After Sophie graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in business management and she decided to stick around and come into business with me this move became a reality. Jennifer Ragazzo and John Blaschik who were married on July 12, 2014, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in New London, N.H. They spent a week in Jamaica after the ceremony, and they live in Springfield, Mass. Another congratulations to Patrick Brennan and Nicole Cappadona who were married on May 31, 2014, at Gates of Heaven Church in South Boston; the reception took place at the beautiful Omni Parker House in Boston. The couple honeymooned touring the islands of Greece, and they live in South Boston. Congratulations to Erin (Goebel) Cahill and Jerome Cahill ’09, who were married in Newport, R.I.. Another congratulations for Kelly Hadley and Stephen Spain, who were married on Sept. 6, 2014, in Henniker, N.H. at Kelly’s family’s farm and vineyard. The couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republica and currently reside in Manchester, N.H. And finally one more congratulations to Morgan MacKay and Ross Maguire ’07, who married on Aug. 23, 2014. They met as undergrads in WSBE (now Paul College), and they currently work at Liberty Mutual. Morgan is lead accountant in the corporate tax group. Best wishes to all the happy couples! Kathryn Mitropoulos has also recently joined the firm of Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, working in the Wolfeboro, N.H., office as staff accountant. She graduated from UNH’s Peter T. Paul College with bachelor’s of science degrees in business administration with an emphasis on accounting. Kathryn is a member of Seacoast Reads, an organization that helps elementary school students improve their reading and writing skills. Kathryn has volunteered for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program for the past two tax seasons and also devotes time to local heritage events in the Dover, N.H., area. Christina Hickey is also joining the firm, but in the Dover office.
