This is what Disney taught me
*Disney Intro* What you just heard is the anthem of my childhood.
Whenever I hear it, the five-year-old me would crawl in my bed like a little bug, as fast as I could.

Disney! I would say, never will I doubt. Those fireworks and the castle and those pixies once made me shout.
But the thing is, Disney didn’t just teach me on what is good or bad at the age of five; Didn’t just make me believe that godmothers will help me to survive Because, in the middle of those once upon a times and happy endings, Disney taught me about life, taught me a lot of things.

It taught me to be ‘me’; That even if I am not the fairest of them all, there is no one I’d rather be. Even if I am poor, a wallflower to ignore, nothing but unlucky, I will still think of others and allow my third and final wish to be ‘I wish you to be free.’

This is what Disney taught me...
It taught me to accept my fears and to let it go; To reach for the floating lanterns to infinity and beyond and so I took every opportunity and never closed my door. Because for the first time in forever, I know I can do it, that I am very sure.

This is what Disney taught me...
It taught me to take my place in the circle of life; To be a friend, a daughter, a dreamer, or even a future wife; To hold on, and have faith until the end Because hakuna matata, it means “no worries, my friend”.

This is what Disney taught me...
It taught me that something shining shimmering splendid starts with trust; That all it takes is faith and a little bit of pixie dust. It taught me how to be a part of your world Because if not, I will never see a whole new world.
This is what Disney taught me...

It taught me to risk, to wonder, to accept the things that have gone wrong Because no matter how far I’ll go, my heart will lead me to where I truly belong; To dream, to hope, to be great, and to be strong; To do something instead of waiting for too long.
This is what Disney taught me...
It taught me to believe; That no matter how impossible things are, I still can achieve. Reminds me that the one who will take yourself to the Neverland is you Because if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true. These lessons will always be here Even if the clock strikes at 12 it will never disappear.
Yes, my carriage will soon turn into a pumpkin and my dress will soon turn old,
But these lessons that I have learned from you Disney are something that I will hold.
