The E.F. Yerby Conference Center (YCC) staff has been coordinating events for over 50 years. This experience allows them to anticipate your needs and to ask the right questions to assure the complete success of your event. The YCC Manager coordinates a team of professionals—marketing associates, technology specialists, caterers, and transportation providers—to guarantee a productive and smoothly executed event. Adjacent to the Grove, the 11-acre park in the heart of the Ole Miss campus, the E.F. Yerby Conference Center is a short walk from most University buildings and adequate parking is available at both venues. The E.F. Yerby Conference Center and the Ole Miss Oxford Depot provide ideal venues for small to mid-size on-campus meetings, seminars, workshops, mini-conferences, and similar events. Our in-house team of professional and creative individuals is eager to save you time and money by providing you with effective educational and promotional information and materials. A full range of editorial support is also available. If you are planning a conference, your Conference Coordinator will help you access these resources. • Web development and graphic design services • Writing and editorial services • Media relations and publicity COMPUTER SERVICES Providing the latest in technology with support from a highly trained technical team, Outreach ITSS oversees the Distributed Learning Network and provides computer and networking services. ITSS is responsible for operating and maintaining the videoconferencing system and associated classrooms for the delivery of distance learning courses. ITSS and Distributed Learning further serve the University and local communities by facilitating administrative meetings and ad hoc video conferences.

The Business Center, created for business travelers, meeting planners, conference presenters and participants, is conveniently located near most meeting rooms and is fully equipped to enhance your YCC experience. Our staff is available to help you with the following: • Photocopying • Faxing • Use our computers or plug in your laptop for Internet Access. • Desktop Computers, loaded with Microsoft Office 2000 software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and WordPerfect 2000 • Printers (laser and color inkjet) • Do you have a last minute need? We also offer a variety of office and instructional supplies such as overhead transparencies, pens, pencils, markers, etc. TRANSPORTATION See individual tab in this brochure. EXCURSIONS The E.F. Yerby Conference Center staff can organize an off-campus excursion for your group. We offer several options including a Clarksdale Blues Excursion and a Memphis Music Tour. BUSINESS CENTER

The E. F. Yerby Conference Center sits at the corner of University Avenue and Grove Loop, a location that allows conference hosts and their guests to easily access and enjoy the unique venues and resources of The University of Mississippi. The Yerby Conference Center provides the perfect setting for small to medium-sized meetings, seminars, workshops, mini-conferences and other events. The auditorium is equipped with complete teleconferencing capabilities and can be configured for sessions requiring interpersonal dialogue. In addition, the Center features five rooms adjacent to the auditorium for break-out sessions, roundtable discussions, and small group meetings. The Center has a large lobby suitable for registration, displays, receptions, and other social gatherings. The E. F. Yerby Conference Center

HISTORY The University of Mississippi purchased the depot in 1983. In 1992, the University successfully lobbied to have the Depot declared a Mississippi Landmark, the highest honor that the State can bestow upon a property. After many attempts by citizens, tourism experts, and developers to breathe new life into the Depot, the University secured a grant of $800,000 from the Mississippi Department of Transportation in the summer of 2001. With an additional $200,000 in matching funds, the University and the Mississippi Department of Archives and History worked together to restore the Depot and adapt it to modern use. The Depot returned to community service in the fall of 2003 as a multipurpose facility with space for groups of up to sixty people for meetings, lectures, and other events. Today, the Oxford Depot is once again a place where students, locals, and visitors can gather. It stands ready to watch over Oxford and the University into the next century and beyond. This site honors the restoration and opening of the Oxford Depot as a community center and highlights the history of the depot and features archival materials relating to the depot and the Mississippi Central Railroad. Driving Directions To the E.F. Yerby Conference Center • From Highway 6 bypass, take the Old Taylor Road exit. • Follow the signs to campus going north on Old Taylor Road until you come to University Avenue (less than 1/2 mile). • Take a left at University Avenue and continue until you come to a four-way stop. • Take a right at the four-way stop onto Grove Loop. • The Yerby Center is the first building on your right.

To The Depot • From Highway 6 bypass, take the Old Taylor Road exit. • Follow the signs to campus going north on Old Taylor Road until it intersects with University Avenue (less than ½ mile). • Take a right at University Avenue. • Take the first left past The Gertrude Ford Center for Performing Arts. • Veer left towards the end of the parking lot. • The Train Depot is the first building on your left.

Transportation

Transportation The E.F. Yerby Conference Center offers airport shuttles for the Memphis International Airport and local shuttles around campus and the town of Oxford. The cost for the airport shuttle is $85 one-way and $135 round trip. Local shuttles are also available. Please call 662-915-7015 for an estimate. The transportation staff is comprised of courteous and experienced drivers who strive to get you to your destination in a safe and timely manner.
