RAY HAUGARTH, ’77, passed away on June 13, 2020, at the age of 69. His wife, JANEL (ZIEGELMAN), ’77, resides in Minneapolis. The couple met while students at the University of Mary and have three sons.

KORAN PETERSON, ’92, received his degree in communication from the University of Mary. He is now a marketing and media specialist for Townsquare Media. Koran and his wife, Kelly, reside in Sioux Falls, SD.

MARTY WYNGARD, ’93, graduated with degrees in physical education and athletic administration with a minor in secondary education. He is now a regional sales manager for Infinity. Marty and his wife, Carmen, live in Black Creek, WI.

SHARI (LONG) VEIL, ’01, ’02, previously served as the associate dean for undergraduate affairs in the College of Communications and Information at the University of Kentucky. She and her husband, Nicholas, have since moved to Lincoln, NE, where she serves as the dean of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska.

DIRK OTTO, ’03, has served as the director of business development for the U.S. office of INTACT, an audit/certification platform, for the past ten years. In 2018, Dirk married Ashley (Davis), a current Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner student at the University of Mary. Together, they welcomed a son, Jacob, and adopted Kyler and Henleigh in 2018. Although they currently reside in Coeur d’Alene, ID, Dirk and Ashley return once a year to North Dakota to visit family.

AMY LONGTIN, ’06, earned her Master of Management at the University of Mary Fargo campus. Since graduating, Amy started her own nonprofit, Tech4Kids, and partnered with the Impact Foundation of Fargo, ND. Currently serving as Mrs. North Dakota 2020, Amy will compete in the national Mrs. America Pageant in Las Vegas, NV. She is now working as the senior systems administrator lead at Tharaldson Hospitality Management. Amy and her husband, Mark, live in Horace, ND, with their two daughters, Brooke and Alayna.

JENNY (RAMBUR) JOHNSON, ’06, ’09, and her husband, Brock, welcomed their second child, Rylee Michael Johnson. They live in Bismarck, ND, with their two kids, where Jenny is a physical therapist and clinic director at CC’s Physical Therapy.

JOHN TALERIO, ’07, and his wife, Taylor, live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. John works for Assumption College School, where he was recently promoted to department head of Catholic studies in September of 2020.

ANDREW KRATZKE, ’11, earned his degree in history education with a minor in political science from the University of Mary. He is now a teacher at Alexandria Public Schools. Andrew and his wife, NOELLE (NASSIR), ’10, have a two-year-old daughter, Josey, and they welcomed their second child, Luther John, on September 17, 2020. Together, they live in Ashby, MN.

KRISS (BURNS) DOCKTER, ’12, received her MBA from the University of Mary. She got married on July 25, 2020, to Cameron Dockter. Kriss is working as a human resources sonsultant for PRO Resources. She is also an adjunct instructor for the University of Mary Fargo campus and online.

SARAH (PORTER) BREEN, ’15, married SAMUEL BREEN, ’20, on July 22, 2016. The couple then moved to Fargo, ND, where Samuel worked as a pediatric resources nurse and Sarah was a physician’s assistant in general cardiology–both at Sanford Health. In April of 2019, they welcomed their first child, Corbella. Later, they moved back to Bismarck, ND. Sarah began working in orthopedics at Sanford while Samuel obtained his master’s in nursing education from the University of Mary. In October of 2020, they welcomed their son, Solanus.

KAITLYN (WURNIG) MACK, ’15, obtained her degree in mass communications from Mary. During her time at Mary, she was a student-athlete, participating in track and field. On September 5, 2020, Kaitlyn married Dwight Mack in Bismarck, ND. She now works as the sponsorship experience director and on-field host for the Bismarck Larks baseball team. Kaitlyn and Dwight currently reside in Mandan, ND, with their dog, Leia.

EMMA (HERGENROEDER) SAVAGEAU, ’17, acquired her Bachelor of Arts in Theology with a minor in catechesis and the New Evangelization from the University of Mary. She and her husband, Chris, met in 2015 through the Young Disciples Apostolate with the Diocese of Fargo, where they served together for several summers. They got married on September 12, 2020, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo. Emma and Chris live in West Fargo, ND.

SAWYER (UETZ) CRONIN, ’18, and her husband, REED CRONIN, ’18, both graduated from the University of Mary’s nursing program. Since then, they moved to Fargo, ND, and both work at Sanford Medical Center. They got married on October 3, 2020, and plan on moving to Scottsdale, AZ, to further their nursing careers.

ALLISON LENGENFELDER, ’18, has been teaching special education for three years and recently accepted a new job teaching special education at Mandan Middle School. She and her husband, Austin, live in Bismarck, ND, with their daughter, Leah, and their yellow lab, Dublin.

PETER MCCABE, ’18, is the student involvement coordinator for the University of Mary. This summer, Peter and his wife, Caris, welcomed their first child, Avila Grace, on July 5, 2020. Together they live in Bismarck, ND.

MARIAH (WOODRING) KAMINSKY, ’19 and her husband, Nick, currently live in Mankato, MN, and got married on July 10, 2020. Mariah is an administrative assistant for the admissions department at Bethany Lutheran College. Nick teaches social studies at Saint Mary’s High School in Sleepy Eye, MN.

MASON MERCK, ’19, is a student doctor at the Idaho School of Osteopathic Medicine. He and his wife, Sarah, welcomed their first child, Fulton John, on May 15, 2020. A couple of months later, Mason and his family made the move from North Dakota to Idaho so he could continue his education in Meridian, ID.

GREGORY STRONG, ’19, obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and Information Technology Management from the University of Mary. He is currently an application administrator for the Dakota Carrier Network. Gregory lives in Bismarck, ND.
