Final Warning… Heed the Call

Everywhere you look changes are happening; disturbing changes. Once peaceful communities are plagued by gang-warfare. World food and fuel prices are skyrocketing. The mighty countries in Europe and even the United States have struggling economies and huge debts. Violent earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions are becoming commonplace occurrences. Can these be signs of a final catastrophe to come? The mission of Ultimate TRUTH is to show that these events are not meaningless. It is no coincidence that they are occurring with such force and frequency. The Bible is clear when it says that these “signs of the times” are indicators of “the end of all things”. This earth will one day pass away and only those who are ready to meet their Lord will enter into eternal rest. While we remain on this earth at such a time as this it is also necessary for us to live as healthy a life as possible. Proper diet and exercise are essential in maintaining optimum wellness and keeping in the will of GOD for our existence.

Editorial We believe that all the issues that have been mentioned on our cover have intelligent and reasonable explanations that will appeal to any rational mind. I affirm this on the basis of the Bible passage that ask us to “come let us reason together”. God made man rational and intelligent to the degree that if he were willing, he would know the truth and the truth would “make him free”. It is one thing to be set free but it is another thing to be ‘made’ free. When truth is made to be our experience, even the bondage of external shackles will fail miserably to entrap the liberated mind. On the other hand, a person whose freedom is limited to the flesh will remain in bondage until such time when the shackles are removed from the mind. Sin has not only enslaved the body but it has brought the human mind into bondage, oppression, guilt and slavery. This bondage has been so overwhelming that even when men find freedom in wealth, stardom, political or military power to the extent that they can control vast masses of people, their lives are still unfulfilled and great emptiness exists. He still needs to be ‘made free’. We believe that only God can make men free. This is the ultimate purpose of our magazine. Based on this objective, every page of this magazine is geared toward equipping the reader with the tools that would ‘make him/her free.’ It is our hope that every member of the family will find something in this initial issue to build him up. Many more issues are forthcoming. Do send in your constructive comments and requests that we can better serve you in your forward move. Also, for those having access to computers, the entire magazine will soon be accessible online (in colour) with important information links for additional study. Do check it out! Make the magazine a guide in your family and if it really benefits you send one to someone who you think it would bless. Till next time, God Bless

Bro. Prince Charles.

The Power in Prayer That power is real power “The glory that rested upon Christ is a pledge of the love of God for us. It tells us of the power of prayer, how the human voice may reach the ear of God, and our petitions find acceptance in the courts of heaven. By sin, earth was cut off from heaven, and alienated from its communion; but Jesus has connected it again with the sphere of glory. His love has encircled man, and reached the highest heaven. The light which fell from the open portals upon the head of our Saviour will fall upon us as we pray for help to resist temptation. The voice which spoke to Jesus says to every believing soul, This is My beloved child, in whom I am well pleased.” Prayer not valued as it should be “We, too, must have times set apart for meditation and prayer and for receiving spiritual refreshing. We do not value the power and efficacy of prayer as we should. Prayer and faith will do what no power on earth can accomplish. We are seldom, in all respects, placed in the same position twice. We continually have new scenes and new trials to pass through, where past experience cannot be a sufficient guide. We must have the continual light that comes from God. {Power of Prayer, EG White}

I began to reflect upon what the children of Israel had to bear and endure; the inconveniences they had to suffer in order to attend the three annual Holy Convocations which God commanded them to keep…no jeep…..no pitch roads to travel on…

THEY BROUGHT THEIR ANIMALS TO CAMP! Now, you may think I’m just talking about a cat and a dog. But that would not be worth writing an article about, would it? Picture the scene. One goat... three sheep (that’s four adult animals) ... and not to be left out, a three-hundred pound bison! That was laughter!!!... Everyone laughed to see the animals come to camp. The whole scene reminded me of a line from Mary had a Little Lamb. And that was not the best of it. Imagine if you will, all these animals, One goat (horns and all), three sheep and a three hundred pound bison fitting into a tiny Land Rover Jeep, with driver and wife in tow. And did the animals ask for excuse when they wanted to go to the restroom...?! You could imagine not! The entire trip to the Camp site took them four hours, with the big-bodied bison obviously having to force his large head between the two front seat occupants to get comfortable. What a scene that must have been! And Jesus was in the midst through all that long journey.... .He had to be! Up to now I’m trying to figure out how those five animals, including that beast of a bison, fitted into the back of that jeep. Their owners had no one to care for them while they were away at camp. Their options were clear… miss the Holy Convocation and stay home with the animals, or carry them to camp... a holy Convocation! If you find me stressing ‘Holy Convocation’, it’s deliberate! But let’s get back to the story! What was the easier choice? What would you have chosen to do? I guess one’s choice is dependent on the reward to be gained from this long arduous journey: sheep bleating, goat baaing, bison whatevering and all the other things they had to put up with while the animals were in motion the back of this small jeep!

Many had to walk: the journey took many days of travel, the terrain was unforgiving, marauding bands of thieves and robbers lurked along the way to pounce at any time upon groups of defenceless pilgrims with children in train. As in the above story, many had to carry their animals with them, livestock as well as those to be used for Sin offerings, Peace offerings, Burnt offerings and Thank offerings just to name a few (read Leviticus 23: They also carried valued possessions for safe keeping… I tell you! What a thing!!! I ask most sincerely, what justifiable reason can present day believers offer for not being present when such convocations are called? Is there a reasonable answer? One that is justifiable in the sight of God? Maybe you can find one. I’m still trying to find one…to no avail! But on to the question of rewards for such a sacrifice… Let’s ask, would God have ordered such assemblies just to feed His ego or to benefit the people of old? The resounding answer is: Israel was mightily blessed by their attendance at these Convocations; to the degree that they were “a Nation wondered at” Jesus, who made wise Solomon, felt that it was necessary for his body of believers in this final generation to come together on such occasions for spiritual bonding, healing, counselling, seasons of prayer, Bible study, training for the mission field….and much, much more. Wise Solomon finally concluded that Jesus is wiser than him! Are you wiser than Solomon? I think not! Can anyone doubt that great rewards are in store for such a touching act of offering and sacrifice? Ask God for the courage, faith and grace to make yourself available whenever such Holy Convocations are called. AMEN!....PRAISE GOD!.....THANK YOU JESUS! To Jerome and Afryea; thank you for your gift of determination! YOU MADE MY DAY: INDEED, MY LIFE! I’LL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!

Because of its diminutive size (it is approximately the size and shape of a walnut) it is easy to disregard. Its position in the male anatomy, sitting conveniently against the rectum, lends further to its lowly reputation. But for all its lowly credentials, it remains an amazing piece of engineering. The prostate can be, and probably will be, affected by the lifestyles of most males. It is of interest that diet is not usually mentioned as a cause of cancer of the prostate. Yet it is cited as important by some. A study which came out of work done by Dr. Roland Phillips at Loma Linda, California over a 20 year period showed that fatal prostate cancer was more common depending on the frequency with which meat, milk, eggs, and cheese were used in the diet. By virtue of its location, if the prostate becomes dysfunctional, real problems invariably develop.

Some signs and symptoms of prostate dysfunction: Progression of prostate Cancer

Swelling, Painful urination, discomfort in the rectum. Also pelvic heaviness may also be a sign of prostatic enlargement. There is a high rate of cancer of the prostate among blacks, two times that of whites and four times that of Asians and a rapid increase in rates with age after forty.

By age 60, about half of all men will have developed some enlargement of the prostate; by 80, almost all. Married men with children have almost three times greater risk (7%) of developing prostate cancer than those without children. (Ref. Medical Tribune, October 22, 1975) ZINC is essential, the prostate cannot function properly without adequate zinc. The prostate gland contains more zinc than any other organ in the body. Zinc is a trace metal needed in only very small amounts.

Zinc-rich foods include the following: nuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, wheat bran, wheat germ, brewer's yeast, onions, molasses, peas, beans, lentils.

Treatment with Home Remedies Hydrotherapy in acute prostatitis can be done in several ways: 1) hot and cold sitz baths; 2) hot (115° F) retention enemas with plain water; Massaging of the prostate twice weekly can afford a great deal of relief and can postpone surgery, and in some cases, prevent it. The technique can be easily learned for home use. Venous blood drainage may be encouraged from the pelvic region by having the man lie on his back, hips on a pillow to raise the hips higher than the shoulders. The skin on the low abdomen may be slightly reddened. A hot-water bottle applied to the perineum ( between the anus & the scrotum ) and held in place by snugly fitting clothing .

Do you have High Blood Pressure? Here’s a simple remedy! Surprisingly with one bulb of Garlic (wonder drug) daily , for 2 weeks you can have this problem under control without high medical bills of synthetic drugs. Just ensure to crush each bulb so that the enzymes will freely mix, giving you sure results.

How God Treats His Enemies vs. How Satan Treats His Enemies And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 God—His Enemies

   

Satan—His Enemies

Matthew 5:39-45 - Love your enemies. Bless them that curse you. Do good to them that hate you. But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. Matthew 5:40-41 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor. Romans 13:10 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do; Luke 24:34 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Rom 12:21

He was a murderer from the beginning. John 8:44

And abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. John 8:44

He speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. John 10:10

What Satan did to Job. Job 2: 6-7

You cannot believe the above (concerning God) and in the same breath believe that He kills or destroys His enemies. These opposing thoughts are contrary one to the other. If, according to the passages mentioned, they constitute a Universally Affirmative truth ( that God does NOT kill), then the opposite statement (God does kill) must be false. In the light of this, it is obvious that an explanation needs to be given concerning the numerous Bible passages which say otherwise. The Bible is written in Human Language. Therefore when dictionary and traditional meanings are generally applied to words and phrases, scripture contradicts itself. The Bible must be its own interpreter and commentary, line upon line, here a little and there a little . (Isaiah 28:10) This makes it abundantly clear that Specific Tools of Interpretation must be applied in understanding the true meaning of Scripture. Look at just a few examples which show that many passages of Scripture do not mean what the

appearance of the words suggest. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 - This passage declares that “God shall send them strong delusions”. If dictionary and traditional meanings is used to interpret this passage we must believe that God would tell a lie. But Titus 1:2, Heb 6:18. declares that God cannot lie. Therefore these passages of scripture contradicts each other. To harmonize these seemingly contradictory passages a UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLE that shows that God must NOT violate man’s freedom of choice, He leaves them to the deceptions which they love after presenting the truth to them, Romans 1:21 - 28. Here it shows that God “gives them up” to their own heart’s desire. Notice the number of times this phrase “gave them up”, is used. That’s how God sends “strong delusions.” He gives up the sinner to his own belief.

This brings us to another critically important principle of correct interpretation of statements concerning God’s behavior. It is this:

2 Samuel 24:1—tells us that God tempted King David to number Israel. That very incident is recorded in 1 Chronicles 21:1 where it affirms that Satan “provoked David to number Israel”. In order to harmonize these seemingly contradicting statements, again we must use the Bible as its own commentary . In the book of James1:13,14 it is affirmed that “every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” So it was that David moved by his own lust disobeyed God in numbering Israel. In the seventh and eighth verses of 1 Chronicles 21 we see God being displeased with what David had done and David acknowledging that it was he who had “sinned greatly, because I have done this thing.” It should be obvious that 2 Samuel 24:1 is really saying that God PERMITTED David to be moved or tempted by Satan. God has given us all freedom of choice, and it’s left up to us to submit to sinful desires or to choose to resist such desires by God’s enabling grace. A third example can be found in Isaiah 45:7 and Amos 3:6. God says “I make peace , and create evil: I the Lord do all these things “……and “...shall there be evil in a city , and the Lord hath not done it?” It is declared that God creates evil; that God does evil. But what is the correct interpretation and understanding of such statements?

Again we must use the same Bible to prove that God is never the source of evil and that he never does evil   

“Thou are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity”…Hebrew. 1:13. “The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works”…Psalms 145: 17. “He that committeth sin is of the devil…Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin ; ...because he is born of God… whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God , neither he that loveth not his brother.”... 1 John 3 : 8-10. “This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.”... 1 John 1:5

“Whenever any passage of scripture describes God as causing or doing evil, it must be interpreted to mean that he permits or allows the evil to be done by the agencies of Satan and sin.”  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous

Only God can give us the correct understanding of His word...Isaiah 28:10. Jesus came to give us an understanding that we may know His Father. 1 John 5:20

NATURAL REMEDIES AND POULTICES For Isaiah had said, “Let them take a lump of figs, and lay [it] for a plaster upon the boil, and he shall recover." (Isaiah 38:21) Poultices are soft, moist plant tissue applied warm or hot to the surface area of the body to alleviate pain, or to draw out inflammations and infections. The plant may be mixed with other plants or other poultice making materials. HOW IT CAN HELP YOU Poultices can help in a number of ways in dealing with problems in local, surface portions of the body. Here are some of them: 

To reduce inflammation.  To relieve pain and congestion and act as a counter-irritant.  To absorb poison  To absorb and thus neutralize chemical toxins, insect bites and stings.  To hasten the formation of a head in an abscess or boil.  To reduce swelling and tension.  To deodorize by eliminating the cause of odor.  To help treat wounds.  Because of the above help, it acts as an effective salve antiseptic disinfectant.

HOW TO APPLY IT 

Assemble everything and prepare the poultice in a warm room.  Place the salve on a damp cloth; then place that on the area to be treated. Cover with the plastic, and then with the wool cloth over that. Pin or tape it in place. Leave it on overnight. When removing it take care not to spill charcoal, etc., on the floor. Rub the part with ice, or with a very cold, wet wash-cloth. You may wish to renew the poultice with fresh salve and clean cloths.

TimelineCarrying into Babylon (374.25) = 3408.25 yrs

CAUTIONS Certain poultices (especially mustard) can cause blistering. Especially use mustard with caution, and be ready to remove it as soon as needed. A poultice applied after pus develops is sometimes a detriment, for the salve can cause bacterial development. Do not use poultices over active suppuration (pussing). Keep in mind that the heat in the poultice is often as important as the poultice- so keep it warm. In pneumonia, peritonitis, and other deeper inflammations, the poultice should be large enough to cover a surface area as large as the organ being treated. The poultice should be covered with plastic, and removed if it becomes cold. A cold poultice or an old poultice does not accomplish much.

Charcoal Poultice - Since Charcoal is pure carbon, it has an amazing absorptive ability to pull into itself toxins and poisons, thus neutralizing them. Charcoal can adsorb far more than its own weight. A cube that is 2/5 of an inch square can adsorb 33 square yards of poison! With a spoon in a bowl, mix equal parts of powdered charcoal and ground flaxseed. Add enough hot water to make a paste, quickly before it cools. Spread it to the desired size, and place the cloth on the afflicted area. Follow the remaining directions as described above, under “How to Apply It.” Garlic Poultice - This is a powerful way to neutralize certain poisons. It can also help reduce abscesses, fungus, skin infections, eczema, dermatitis, boils, and is used to neutralize the acids in arthritis and similar conditions. Make a pulp of raw garlic and place it on a cloth, and then over the affected area. This is not a painless remedy, but the results are usually well worth the effort.

In our next issue, look out for how different poultices are prepared and used.

THE FRONTAL LOBE Excerpts taken from Proof Positive by Neil Nedley M.D.

 

The frontal lobe is an area in the brain of humans and other mammals, located at the front of each cerebral Hemisphere. The executive functions of the frontal lobes involve the ability to recognize future consequences resulting from current actions, to choose between good and bad actions (or better and best), override and suppress unacceptable social responses, and determine similarities and differences between things or events. Therefore the Frontal Lobe involves higher mental functions. Scientific studies have shown that the frontal lobe is the seat of:  

There is a growing appetite in the world for these products - Energy drinks. No wonder people, especially children are drawn to them; just take a look at their names. These super charged energy drinks are the fastest selling products off the beverage shelves. Have you ever looked at the label of these beverages to see and know what you are drinking? Most of you will say no, but rave about how good they taste, and the energy you get from them on the go; as one advertisement for a popular brand states – “it gives you wings.” Suffice it to say, such drinks contain ingredients that are typically found in prescription drugs. Energy drinks are consumed all around the world. They are everywhere, sold over the counter in the supermarkets, restaurants, bars, clubs, even in school cafeterias, yet they are not regulated as other products. Manufacturers of these products usually get around the rules of public consumption by having them classified as herbal supplements. So what really are energy drinks and what are in them? Energy drinks, as the name implies, are advertised as beverages that can boost energy. Advertisements usually do not emphasize the energy is derived from these ingredients, (sugar and caffeine but rather promote that the energy is released due to a variety of stimulants and vitamins. Almost 99% of the energy drinks have caffeine as their main ingredient. Caffeine is what energy drinks are all about. Without this chemical, energy drinks would not be what they are now. Caffeine works by blocking the effects of adenosine, a brain chemical that promotes sleep.

Is there hope for at risk Teens? (Out of Control) Answer– Yes! Call us for help.

When caffeine blocks adenosine, it causes neurons in the brain to fire. Thinking the body is in an emergency, the pituitary gland initiates the body's "fight or flight" response by releasing adrenaline. This hormone makes the heart beat faster and the pupils of the eyes dilate. It also causes the liver to release extra sugar into the bloodstream for energy. Caffeine also affects the levels of dopamine, a chemical in the brain's pleasure centre. All of these physical responses make you feel as though you have more energy. Because caffeine is a stimulant -- consuming a great deal of it can lead to heart palpitations, anxiety and insomnia. It is also a diuretic -- it causes the kidneys to remove extra fluid into the urine. That leaves less fluid in the body, so drinking an energy drink while you're exercising can be particularly dangerous. The combination of the diuretic effect and sweating can severely dehydrate you. Over time, caffeine can become addictive and as it is with other drugs, caffeine withdrawal can make you feel jittery and irritable. The other common ingredient, sugar, is the body’s preferred fuel. That’s why you get hyper when much sugar is consumed. Ingesting too much sugar can spike insulin levels which often lead to a “crash” feeling after about an hour or so. As a result of such insulin spikes, high sugar intake over time has been linked to the onset of Type II diabetes. Just imagine this: one Rockstar energy drink can have 63 grams of sugar which is the same amount in two regular size Snickers candy bars!

The return to the Garden of Eden

One of my favourite authors says this about country living “There is not one family in a hundred who will be

improved physically, mentally, or spiritually, by residing in the city. Faith, hope, love, happiness, can far better be gained in retired places, where there are fields and hills and trees. Parents may ask, What about the education of our children? Let parents understand that the training of their children is an important work in the saving of souls. In country places abundant useful exercise will be found in doing those things that need to be done, and which will give physical health by developing nerve and muscle. Out of the cities is my message for the education of our children.” Imagine having your home in an area where you inhale the purest air nature has to offer, hear the sweet chorus of the beautiful birds, feel the cool breeze massage your body as you bask in the calmness and peace of the surroundings. How about going in to your garden and enjoying your favourite fruits, fresh off the tree grown in an orchard that seemed to be a part of Eden itself. What about drinking pure, cool, mineral rich water that keeps you begging for more. Sounds good doesn’t it? Do you know that this Edenic experience is what God designed for us in the beginning? (Read Genesis chapters 1&2) Today we call this “Country living.” This is so because it seems as if it is only in country /rural areas that we are able to enjoy this lifestyle. Country living is living on spacious amount of land, that allows for us to be more intimate with nature and at peace with our Creator. Country living provides the opportunity to cultivate land for agriculture and farming, to develop a healthy lifestyle, participate in wholesome recreations, live stress free and appreciate the simple things of life. You do not have to endure noisy neighbours or traffic. You also benefit by having a flexible income and a “peace that surpasseth all understanding”.

Now look at that! Dear friends I write to you about this wonderful way of life because I am living this experience. I wish more people could enjoy it such as my wife and I do. Two years ago we made the decision to attain this Edenic experience, we gave up much; it took a lot of work and dedication, it still continues to do so. It’s all worth it and God has been on our side all the way! He has done it for us and he will surely do it for you. We look forward to sharing more exciting and valuable information on Country living such as total sustainability, healthy lifestyle, income opportunities, agriculture and so much more.

This is an issue that young and old face today. We want to date, we want to get married, we want a long term committed relationship that will make us feel loved and appreciated. These are all great sentiments and the fact that you feel this way say says you have received one of the first blessings that God gave to man. A need to share your life with someone. Our first parent Adam was created in a beautiful garden and given dominion over all he laid his eyes upon. However he recognized he was missing something. He saw the animals with their partners but he realized that he did not have either of these. The creation story then goes on to say that God in his goodness provided him with his only mate (Genesis 2:19-25). Please notice that God did not provide Adam with a series of persons to date first before he made a choice. He provided one man to one wife and Adam and Eve both trusted God’s choice. Lets take a look within ourselves and start asking some hard questions. Be honest and ask the Holy Ghost to guide you while you search the innermost of your heart.

5) Can I serve God freely and openly? Can I preserve my individuality? Will my partner honor my parents as I do? Will my body and soul be preserved and kept holy? Is my partner willing to seek counsel and wisdom? 6) When the novelty of marriage is over, will he\she love me still? Will he be patient with my mistakes, or will he\she be critical, overbearing, and dictatorial?

1) 2)

1) Asking God what is His will in your life for you. 2) Helping you qualify and ready yourself for courtship

3) 4)

What is Love? How do I learn how to love? Am I truly ready to love and spend the rest of my life with someone? Am I qualified to provide and take care of a home? Am I mature? Do I have the ability to make sound judgment? Is my character well developed? Is my life going in accordance with God’s biblical principles? Am I willing to take counsel from God, experienced friends and loved ones before selecting my mate? What attributes should I look for in a partner? Is my partner worthy? What is my partner’s past record? Have I properly assessed my partner’s family, lifestyle and spirituality? Will they make me happy? Does he or she honor their parents and God? Are we compatible?

I know what you are thinking. Whew! so may questions? Yes!! That is how important dating and courting is, it’s almost like filling out an application for your Visa, Id card, Passport or Driver’s License. Today the world’s view of dating, which is jumping from partner to partner until you find the “right” one is completely opposite to the standard the word of God promotes. God has designed that if we follow his principles, we will be spared the pain and heartache many of us see or experience from day to day. If we are willing to trust God to seek and choose our partner for us he will surely provide us with that person who we can live the rest of our life with. My next article will go into the questions individually with practical advice on steps to

3) Identifying God’s principles for selecting a partner. 4) How should courtship be conducted and how long courtship should occur before marriage.
