Belfast Durga Puja Durga Puja is a major festival celebrated across India, Nepal, Bangladesh and other South Asian countries under varied names such as Navratri and Dussehra. Belfast recently celebrated its 6th anniversary of Durga Puja / Dussehra Festival at Olympia Community Centre. Organiser Dr. Shrobona Bhattacharya said, “ Durga Puja is our main religious and cultural identity, the purpose of celebrating Durga Puja is to keep our heritage alive and we share our cultural identity with local and international people to integrate.”
