Charity Shop Chic The Northern Ireland Hospice brought charity shop chic to East Belfast recently as it marked the official opening of its 25th store in Northern Ireland, on the Ballygowan Road. UTV presenter Julian Simmons, one of the charity’s long-standing supporters kick started celebrations in the constitutional cutting of the ‘purple’ ribbon ceremony and officially declared the shop open. A large number of local residents turned out to support the grand opening and join in the festivities. Hospice Shops are located right across Northern Ireland and play a central role in helping the charity meet its annual £6 million fundraising target.
