Safety first will drive profits second

Delegates representing manufacturers from across Northern Ireland heard from the Belfast broker on the steps that could be taken to establish robust health and safety systems, thereby improving staff well-being and improving businesses’ bottom line in the process. More than 137m working days were lost in the UK last year due to sickness or injury with employees in manual sectors absent by an average of two additional days compared to other industries
