Ujjawal Madan

Ujjawal Madan is now enrolled in Georgia Tech's MS in Analytics program as an on-campus student. As the title says, I come from an unusual background. My two main passions as a student were math and music, a not-so-unusual combination. I chose to completely devote myself to become a professional musician, primarily an orchestral player, after getting admitted to Juillard for my undergraduate studies. During an internship in arts administration, though, I spent a lot of time with the Analytics team, working on trends, modeling, and forecasting. I found myself organically migrating towards data science after being enamored with the capabilities and promise of analytics, as well as its expanding importance across many sectors. My current goals are to broaden my data science skill set and toolset, look for chances to use what I've learned, and come up with novel approaches to solving high-impact challenges.
