College of Mines Established in 1917, the College of Mines has offered curricu la leading to Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, and Geography degrees. Located near one of the ch ief min ing regions of the world, the University of Idaho offers valuable opportunities for stud ying the natural geological structures situated in this area. The Mines ummer Camp offers additional opportunities to study deposits of ore materials, fossiliferous rocks, and igneous rocks.
