Montana 6 Idaho 14 The Vandals won their third game of the season as hard, steady play resulted in a 14 to 6 triumph over the Grizzlies of Montana at Missoula. Vandal Jim Norton, on his first of two interceptions, set up the first Vandal score as Gary Farnworth swept 9 yards for the touchdown, then hit Wade Patterson for the 2-point conversion. Idaho dominated the rest of the first half but couldn't score. Early in the third period F::trnworth put the ball in play on the Vandal 2-yard line, was hit hard and fumbled and Montana guard Jim Johnson pounced on it in the end zone for the Grizzly touchdown.
