February can feel very
lonely and isolating. Every year, stores stock up on Valentine's day goodies, couples seem to be showing off how happy they are and social media can be suffocating. If you’re single, it may feel like no one is celebrating you. However, there are many ways to practice self-care and shower yourself with love over this holiday season.
Invest in hobbies that make you feel good about yourself

Recently, I pushed away my old mindset and decided to invest in gym memberships. I do these things to help me be mindful of the world around me and improve my mental health. While I might not be the best runner or the strongest weightlifter, I’ve seen an improvement in myself. Going to the gym isn’t the only hobby you can pick up. I think it’s wisest to pick up a hobby you already have an interest in and make it a part of your daily routine. For example, if you enjoy crocheting, you
could crochet a couple of rows or practice stitches each night before bed. There are a variety of hobbies you can practice with, like watching movies, reading, dancing or writing. By investing time into things that are not inherently productive or successdriven, you will learn to invest in yourself and your personal happiness.
