Graduates on Giving Cy Pres Funds “As class counsel in a consumer finance case, we were delighted (along with Ben Philips and Charlie Gower) to recommend to Judge Clay D. Land (J.D.’85) that proceeds of the cy pres remainder fund be distributed to several worthy charitable organizations – including a scholarship fund at the University of Georgia School of Law. These funds will benefit law students as they prepare to represent clients that otherwise might not be able to afford legal counsel.
