Lead Practitioner programmes will give you the skills and resources needed to run your own activity in your local area. Sessions will be led by members of the highly experienced UFA National Team.

Train to run a 3 day programme to develop young people as leaders of learning. Young people gain skills and confidence to set up, run and evaluate their own learning clubs or curriculum activity for other young people.Young people develop an understanding of learning to learn processes and become excellent role models. Train to lead a 2 day programme designed to develop young people as Peer Tutors who support the learning of their peers. Peer Tutors develop their own learning skills as well as the peers they support. Whether for primary or secondary age students, the outcome is always a rise in standards and student achievement. Train to lead a 3 day programme for young people to develop their skills in research and evaluation and become confident to lead a project which evaluates some aspect of your school/organisation. We use our Young Evaluator’s Toolkit to show how evaluation can be interactive and even fun! During the programme young people will agree a research question, develop their own methodology to gather findings which they analyse and then present recommendations to your organisation’s leadership team.

Train to lead an off timetable enrichment day where the young people begin to think more about how they learn more than what they learn.
SUMMER CHALLENGE
Train to lead a week long summer challenge programme, where young people go through a series of Local to you? mini challenges in order to improve their problem solving skills, confidence and team work alongside developing vocational skills. Train to lead a 10 hour programme to introduce parents and carers to a range of learning to learn strategies 6th Nov that would support their children to become more effective, successful learners and to overcome barriers 2012 to learning.
