Lost in overtime there before dropping a challenge match for fourth to miss out on a national tournament berth . . . Also placed fifth in the Central Missouri Open, winning five straight consolation matches in that tournament . . . Was second on the team in takedowns with 73.
2009-10: Saw action at 165, 174 and 184 in putting together a 17-13 record with 10 bonus-point wins, including eight falls . . . Went 3-2 at 165 in the Oklahoma City Open and was 3-3 at 174 before bumping up to 184 to take over a starting role in the second semester . . . Finished 11-8 with four falls at that weight, earning a national tournament appearance with a fourth-place finish in the regional . . . Was eliminated with two straight losses at nationals.
