2010-11: Started all season at 184 and finished 32-15 with 13 bonuspoint wins . . . Placed in six tournaments, including a runner-up showing at the Super Regional II Tournament to earn a national tournament berth . . . Opened the regional with a pair of two-point wins to make the finals before dropping a 2-1 decision there to eventual national champion Aaron Denson of Nebraska-Omaha . . . Went 1-2 at nationals, losing to a pair of All-Americans . . . Was just 7-7 at one point before going 25-8 the rest of the way while putting together four winning streaks of at least five matches . . . Won the Newman Invitational and also placed at the Missouri Valley Open (third), Oklahoma City Open (fourth) and Central Missouri Open (sixth) . . . Was second on the team in takedowns with 110.

Ed Jackson 5-9 • 165 Pounds Junior • Baltimore, Md. Junior veteran looking to help out at 165 pounds this year . . . Didn’t wrestle last year after seeing extensive action the previous two seasons and has the ability to be a factor . . . Got a late start to the sport, but is a multi-talented athlete who could push for the starting role. 2009-10: Split time at 157 throughout the season before taking over the full-time role late and finished 16-9 with six bonus-point wins . . . Finished fifth in the Super Regional II Tournament, overcoming a firstround loss with three straight wins in making the consolation finals . . . Lost in overtime there before dropping a challenge match for fourth to miss out on a national tournament berth . . . Also placed fifth in the Central Missouri Open, winning five straight consolation matches in that tournament . . . Was second on the team in takedowns with 73.

2009-10: Saw action at 165, 174 and 184 in putting together a 17-13 record with 10 bonus-point wins, including eight falls . . . Went 3-2 at 165 in the Oklahoma City Open and was 3-3 at 174 before bumping up to 184 to take over a starting role in the second semester . . . Finished 11-8 with four falls at that weight, earning a national tournament appearance with a fourth-place finish in the regional . . . Was eliminated with two straight losses at nationals.

2008-09: Put together a 14-10 record with eight bonus-point wins, including five major decisions . . . Finished second on the team in takedowns with 69 . . . Competed in four open tournaments and two duals, seeing action at 165 in one dual.

High School: Four-time state placer at small-school powerhouse Marlow High School, amassing a 141-20 career record . . . Four-time All-Area selection and won back-to-back state championships his final two seasons, earning All-State accolades as a senior. 16
