Our mission THE MISSION OF THE SIERRA NEVADA RESEARCH INSTITUTE (SNRI) AT UC MERCED is to discover and disseminate new
knowledge that contributes to sustaining natural resources and promoting social well-being in the Sierra Nevada-Central Valley region, and related regions worldwide. SNRI accomplishes its mission by: • Fostering interdisciplinary research that focuses on the Sierra Nevada eco-region, including the Central Valley and other adjacent areas; • Facilitating synergistic links between science, the arts, education and natural resource management
