KEY POLICIES Policies are guides to action to obtain certain outcomes. They differ from broad ethical principles in the sense that they guide more precisely how to define and prioritize laws and budgets. They are proposed as a pragmatic way of achieving, or at least making steps towards, the desired future envisioned by our principles, ambitions and dreams. Some may be proven policies that have shown results in the past, while others may be more experimental and emerge as the result of processes of social innovation. Policies can promote, generalize and standardize good practices, whether they have been proven and consolidated or newly implanted somewhere, with good results.
