Science and Innovation Week. This event serves as a framework for analysing the problems facing large cities, and especially Mexico City. Bicentennial Project. Safe City. The project began with the installation of cameras and sensors at all the delegations in the Federal District after the Act Regulating the Use of Technology for Public Safety was passed. This Act states the need to "contribute to the maintenance of order, peace and stability for coexistence and prevent emergencies or disasters and increase public safety".

The city government organised the World Summit of Local and Regional Leaders 2010 (3rd World Congress of United Cities and Local Governments) and the World Mayors Summit on Climate (November 2010) with 3,000 delegates from 94 countries. "International Month of Mexico City". With parallel events on various international issues, including the General Assembly of Peace Messenger Cities, a meeting of the Union of Capital Cities of Latin America.
