UCLG learning: links with UCLG’s work plan Learning was identified in the Bogotá Commitment as an instrumental for the implementation of the global agendas, such as the New Urban Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. UCLG’s work on learning was particularly active during 2016, reflecting the fact that making UCLG a learning network is a strategic priority. Learning is a transversal activity that feeds into advocacy (by developing policy recommendations), monitoring and reporting (by providing examples of good practices), and implementation itself (in the cities involved). In this way, learning is a key pillar of localizing the SDGs. UCLG’s learning agenda is made up of both strategic learning and action learning:
