ELECTORAL PROGRAM
TOWN HALL:
Create an Employment Agency to serve the village. Increase the size of our local Police Force
EXTERNAL RELATIONS (FOR OBTAINING GRANTS AND OTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE):
Promote more contact and communication with outside agencies. Improve collaboration with state, provincial, and autonomous authorities
EDUCATION:
Creation of a Sports Centre for our secondary school
Construction of shaded parking areas for both our schools. Upgrade our secondary school so that it continues to the “Bachillerato”
HEALTH:
We should have a third family doctor, a third nurse and a separate paediatrician
Maintain a 24-hour emergency and ambulance service. Request a helipad.
CULTURE:
Encourage and improve the leisure activities of the Pedro Gilabert Museum Expand the use and activities of our municipal library. Increase collaboration with local associations and artists.
ELECTORAL PROGRAM
SPORT:
Develop an action-plan to allocate more space for sports; increase our contacts with sports centres and associations elsewhere so as to make more use of existing facilities in Arboleas.
Reform and improve the changing rooms and toilets of the municipal swimming pool.
Change the floors in the paddle-tennis courts.
Construct a few indoor sports courts
SOCIAL CARE:
Improvement of care for the elderly – providing more home help
Construction of a Civic Centre for the elderly.
Offer more assistance to the very poor families.
Create and open a Civil Protection unit for the village
WORKS:
Construct more bio-health parks; improve existing ones
Build more playgrounds; improve existing ones.
Create a recreational zone incorporating green areas and walkways
Pump desalinated water up to La Hoya.
Rationalise the La Cinta and El Prado water-supply networks by connecting them together across the bridge
Draw up a master plan to install more street lighting.
Extend the sanitation-system to embrace more suburbs.
Improve the road between El Prado and La Cinta and the one between Limaria and Los Higuerales.
Modernization and recovery of the old urban area of Arboleas, including the part around the Church
ELECTORAL PROGRAM
SOCIAL AID:
Promote support for young entrepreneurs
Construct official municipal housing for young people and the elderly.
URBANISM:
Approve and open up new areas of industrial and commercial land, with a suitable network of fire hydrants
Actualisation of the General Urban Ordinance Plan (PGOU) through the Special Interior Reform Plans (PERI’S). Development of the Interior Reform Areas (ARI’S)
Assessment and advice for owners of ‘illegal houses’ in urban areas which have not yet been consolidated (ie, which fall under Innovation 14)
TOURISM:
Create and open a Municipal Tourist Office. Develop the complex around the Sierra de la Murta Promote our cortijos and rural houses.
ECONOMY AND EMPLOYMENT:
Draw up a Municipal Employment Plan to serve unemployed people, and those suffering from social exclusion
Develop a local plan to investigate the prospects for self-employment. Create incentives for the implementation of new economic activities. Open a municipal business nursery for families of young entrepreneurs
ELECTORAL PROGRAM
AGRICULTURE AND ENVIRONMENT:
Optimization and improvement of the old irrigation systems. Care and maintenance of the Sierra de La Murta, eg, with forest fire prevention, soil conservation, erosion control and reforestation.
