FROM OUR DIRECTOR Drew Amerson

2022-23 was a year of remarkable growth for LexLab We watched our space in the new building take shape and congratulated the first students to graduate from UC Law SF with a concentration that we designed in Technology and Innovation in the Practice of Law We also held our most successful accelerator program to date, crowning two deserving legal tech startups as co-winners

Our efforts are gaining national attention, as Bloomberg Law recognized the Concentration as one of the top law school programs for Innovation & Technology and the Accelerator as one of the top law school programs for Innovation & Experience. We were also featured in The ABA Journal for launching a new Justice Tech Accelerator, which we will run this fall in collaboration with the Justice Technology Association, gener8tor, and Village Capital

Looking ahead to 2023-24, we can't wait to get into our new space and get to work building out a bustling legal tech hub! In addition to the Justice Tech Accelerator, we will be launching a new course this fall: "InHouse Counsel Toolkit: Skills & Strategies," which will bring leading tech GC's into our community to teach our students what it's like to work in-house.
