Past Papers Students are encouraged to refer to past examination papers for each course. Samples of past papers for each module can be perused or obtained from each Centre Manager or at the library in Kingston. To secure Past Exam Question Papers please send an email requesting the specific paper(s) to asklibrary@ucc.edu.jm. These will be supplied without charge via a return email. There is a charge if you request them to be printed at your centre or library. End-Of-Module Examinations: End-of-Module examinations are administered for each module/course after the final contact session of the course. All students are required to be present for End-of-Module Examinations at the date, time and venue prescribed. Examination dates and venues are published on the Students’ Notice Board located on the main campus and at all Centres. It is the responsibility of each student to be aware of the date, time and location of an examination beforehand as failure to ascertain such information will not be accepted as sufficient cause for failing to sit an examination. Effective April 2007 UCC, on the recommendation of the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ), implemented the practice of common examinations for all subjects throughout the institution, irrespective of mode of study and location.
Where students are unable to sit an examination, an explanation must be submitted to the Examinations Committee for permission to write the examination at the next scheduled sitting. If such absence is due to illness, this must be confirmed by a doctor’s certificate, and submitted to the Head of Academic Services before or within seven (7) days after the date of the examination. Absences for other reasons must be explained, in writing, and submitted to the Examinations Committee. Any consideration extended to writing the examination, or for payment of fees for sitting the examination, will be treated according to the merits of each case.
Each student sitting End-of-Module examinations must have a valid 1. UCC Aeorion Examination Permit (printed with the approved date) 2. UCC Identification Card. Failure to have the two documents may result in the student being barred from sitting an examination. Only participants in good financial standing (paid in full or having paid according to agreed payment plan) and who have been in attendance at a minimum of 75% of the contact sessions for that module (unless otherwise agreed upon in writing before the start of the module) will have access to examination permit.
