UNDERREPRESENTED RESEARCHERS OF COLOR

R E S O U R C E S

The mission of the Underrepresented Researchers of Color (UROC) organization is to increase representation of marginalized students in research programs and in graduate school. By hosting research workshops, community building events, providing peer mentorship, and sharing resources with students of color we strive to increase representation of marginalized students in research and to democratize and decolonize education. We aim to transform academic institutions into equitable and inclusive spaces that encourage marginalized students to own and share their narratives while contributing to the creation of knowledge. Contact: Visit uroc.berkeley.edu.

Johnson Lounge (MLK 414) and the Cecilia Chung Resource Center (MLK 416), and has an office space in the Audre Lorde Room (MLK 410). We hope to create a permanent home for our community in Hearst Field Annex. Uniting the queer/trans community: as the umbrella organization for all LGBTQ+ student organizations, QARC is in a unique position to hold events, distribute resources, and maintain connections across the entire queer/trans student community. Administering health, wellness, and educational resources: QARC’s Cecilia Chung Resource Center is home to many tangible resources, including sexual wellness materials, transition supplies, books and manuals on relevant wellness topics, and textbooks and test-related materials. CENTER

The PATH to Care Center leads the efforts to transform our campus into a community that is free of sexual violence, sexual harassment, intimate partner violence, and stalking through prevention, advocacy, training, and healing. We collaborate with the campus community to make social change with the goals of preventing, intervening in, and responding to harassment and violence, eliminating oppression, and creating the culture and environment we all aspire to and deserve. We envision a campus community free of violence and grounded in social justice. This vision will be realized when every member of our community is a beacon of support and respect for those around them. We serve incoming students through SVSH prevention programming and survivor support services. Our services include prevention workshops, prevention consultations, survivor support resources, and healing initiatives. Contact: To request a consultation, workshop, or learn more, visit care.berkeley.edu or email pathtocare@berkeley.edu. Care Line for 24/7 free, confidential, urgent support: 510-643-2005
