Your legacy lives on for generations
Make an outright gift or a pledge commitment of $50,000 or more to create a new scholarship endowment.
“The [Your Name] UC Promise Scholarship” continues to grow and support students at UC.
Each year, UC matches the full amount that is awarded from your scholarship, in perpetuity.
Example: The Jane Smith UC Promise Scholarship Jane establishes a $100,000 endowment.
With a 4% annual payout, her endowment generates $4,000.
UC matches that $4,000 from internal funds when it is awarded to a student.
Together, Jane’s $100,000 gift creates $8,000, awarded annually as “The Jane Smith UC Promise Scholarship” equivalent to the impact of a $200,000 endowment.

PROGRAM DETAILS Participation eligibility • Donors must establish a new scholarship endowment of $50,000 or more. • Matching dollars will be restricted to scholarships supporting Ohio resident undergraduate students with financial need. Graduate and professional student scholarships are not available for matching funds. • Gifts must be made as outright contributions or multi-year pledges (up to 5 years). Estate commitments do not qualify for matching funds.
Your options • You may elect to direct your scholarship to a specific college that offers undergraduate degrees but may not further specify majors, programs or other criteria. • You may elect to direct your scholarship to Cincinnati Public School graduates but may not further specify a school. • Only one of the above preferences will be permitted. • You may name the scholarship for yourself, a loved one, or anyone you choose, provided you have permission.
