The Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia is a global leader in forestry education and research. UBC is consistently ranked among the top 20 public universities in the world, and Vancouver is consistently listed as one of the top livable cities in the world.
The undergraduate transfer programs (also referred to as “2+2”/”3+2” programs) have been one of the most successful collaborations be tween a western university and a group of Chinese universities. For mal cooperations with four partner universalities have been approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
These programs involve 2 or 3 years of post-secondary education in China followed by program completion at UBC. The transfer programs have been established with our Forest Sciences, Natural Resources Conservation, Forestry, Wood Products Processing programs, and Forest Bioeconomy Sciences & Technology program.
The 2+2/3+2 transfer program has been developed in line with key visions of the Faculty of Forestry. We believe that it is our responsibility to take stewardship in forestry education, cultivate global citizens, and enhance capacity building in forestry.
