Delivery Mothers and Newborns in Ethiopia: A Systems Approach to Strengthening Skilled Birth Attendance and Referral, was born with an aim of reducing neonatal and maternal mortality as part of the Millennium Developmental Goals set by the United Nations in 2000. The University of Alberta has partnered with the Ethiopia Ministry of Health and St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia,
