NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

UAH FOUNDATION PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP This four-year award is valued at full tuition (12-18 credit hours per semester) for four years plus a $500 course fee stipend per year. It is based on academic merit and awarded each year to select incoming first-time freshmen graduating from public high schools in Huntsville/Madison County, AL. Eligible candidates must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and a minimum ACT score of 25 or minimum SAT score of 1130. To apply, candidates must submit a UAH Scholarship Application, be fully admitted by the scholarship priority date (Dec. 15), and be recommended by either their high school counselor and/or an admissions counselor from UAH. Renewal is based on satisfactory academic progress and full-time student status. This award will replace any UAH Merit Tuition Scholarship of equal or lesser value for which the student qualifies.

2016–2017 TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIPS Students must be seeking their first bachelor’s degree and be admitted to UAH to be eligible. You are AUTOMATICALLY considered for Transfer Scholarships when you apply for admission!

PLATINUM AWARD OF ACADEMIC DISTINCTION Students declared a National Merit Finalist, a National Achievement Finalist, or a National Merit Hispanic Scholar qualify for this four-year award, which is valued at full tuition (12-18 credit hours per semester) plus a $500 course fee stipend, a $500 book stipend, an on-campus housing allowance, and a meal plan allowance. Renewal is based on satisfactory academic progress and full-time student status. This award will replace any UAH Merit Tuition Scholarship of equal or lesser value for which the student qualifies.

GOLD AWARD OF ACADEMIC DISTINCTION Students declared a National Merit Semi-Finalist, a National Achievement Semi-Finalist, or a National Merit Hispanic Scholar Semi-Finalist qualify for this fouryear award, which is valued at full tuition (12-18 credit hours per semester) plus a $500 course fee stipend and a $500 book stipend. To receive a National Merit Award, students will need to submit an official copy of the award letter from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation to the Office of Financial Aid. Renewal is based on satisfactory academic progress and full-time student status. This award will replace any UAH Merit Tuition Scholarship of equal or lesser value for which the student qualifies.
