Less Waiting Time At the beginning of 2015, the Dubai Health Authority issued Policy Directive Number 2, saying every medical insurance plan in Dubai should meet or exceed the minimum benefits set forth by the National Health Insurance Law. How many months are necessary before a woman can fall pregnant and be covered by insurance? Can she enjoy the same benefits if another pregnancy occurs in less than twelve months?
Does it cover normal and Caesarean deliveries?
Are the benefits exclusively applicable to hospitals accredited by the insurance for inpatients? Does it cover home birth alternatives as well for outpatient?
What guarantee or compensation is there if any complication happens while delivering?
Do insurances cover ultrasound scans, tests and gynaecology visits?
Are health products included in the insurance like maternity cover, equipment, anaesthesia and post-natal supplements?
Does it include postpartum care?
Does it have extra benefits for the newborn like screening tests?
