FEATURE
Driving Active Transportation FREMONT, CALIFORNIA, USA
Pedestrian, bicycle, and public transportation facilities promote active transportation, healthy living, and serving low-income communities where people may not own a vehicle.
TYLin is currently assisting the City of Fremont, California, with two major active transportation projects in various stages of design development. The City sought funding for the Sabercat I-680 Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge and I-880 Innovation Bridge and Trail Project to further their commitment to active transportation. The City’s vision is to better serve residents, commuters, and visitors by linking city trails with regional San Francisco Bay Area trail systems and providing safe nonvehicular transportation options in strategic locations. TYLin was selected for these projects due to our unique approach, team composition, and strong ability to deliver architecturally significant overcrossings.
