Tyler Wibbelt – Wetland Ecologist Tyler Wibbelt Mr. Wibbelt is a freshwater wetland ecologist practicing in New Jersey. He holds a degree in Environmental Science and has taken multiple certificate courses related to wetland science. He has years of experience working with both private firms and NGOs to ensure wetlands are properly delineated with appropriate resource value. Wetland ecology is the kind of career most people dream of having: a rewarding career that makes a positive impact, opportunities for outdoor work, and exploration. Tyler Wibbelt is known for his expertise in wetland delineation, species identification, state and federal wetland permitting, and constructed wetland design. He has routinely conducted freshwater wetland delineations in Northern and Southern New Jersey in support of Letters of Interpretation, and also assisted in coastal wetland delineations. His NJDEP permitting experience includes the preparation of: General Permits, Permits-By-Rule, and Transition Area Waivers, Individual Permits and Open Water Fill Permits. Mr. Wibbelt has also worked with firms to provide consultation services to both developers and single-family home owners with properties containing wetlands. He has assisted with wetland mitigation as well as wetland “reduction” and “compensation” as part of NJDEP wetland permits. He also prepares National Heritage Requests and conducts due diligence as part of these permit applications. He has a love for nature and enjoys spending his time on hikes, birdwatching, and going on nature walks. Mr. Wibbelt is currently pursuing his Professional Wetlands Scientist certification.
