From the Desk of the President & CEO The last couple of years I have announced, and actually thought about and set, my New Years Resolution in this column. According to Wikipedia (the internet is always right, right?) Men achieved their goal 22% more often when they engaged in goal setting (a system where small measurable goals are being set; such as, a pound a week, instead of saying "lose weight"), while women succeeded 10% more when they made their goals public and got support from their friends.

Tim Roche

I am going to do both. Make it measurable, and make it public. (I assume your going to support me.) If I have done the math correctly, that means I will have a 43.56% chance of completing it. (put it on the internet!) So here it is: I am going to visit with 1 elected official a week for the entire year.

Whether it is School, City, County, State or Federal, I will visit with 52 elected officials over the next year promoting business in the northern Twin Cities area. Make sure you ask me, next time you see me, who I have met with!
