Deborah, can tell us about what The Spring Rooms offers? We offer a unique space where you can relax and leave the world outside and go on a journey of well-being. Our space is focused on all the senses: we believe in not just about touch but sound and smell. We have ambient music playing throughout as well as our scented rooms, organic oils and a calming palette courtesy of our own unique branded marble canvases. The scent and sound create a sense of comfort to help you relax, feel safe and prepare you for your time with us.

What treatments do you specialise in? It is a mix of traditional and pioneering treatments to help you manage your stresses, pain and discomfort all provided by our professional practioners. This isn’t always physical as it can also be emotional or mental pain too. However the symptoms manifest themselves we aim to get to the root cause of the problem, helping to restore and promote ongoing good health and well-being. We can treat all sorts of conditions including back problems, muscle and joint pain, sports injuries and headaches. We also enjoy helping new mothers through pregnancy and post birth and also offer hypnotherapy, NLP and counselling and also facials and massages. We ensure we have something unique for everyone. What is your business background? I originally worked for a design agency in London prior, but after having my son I didn’t want to go back to the stress and demands of commuting. I initially practiced in Wadhurst Physiotherapy Sports Injury Clinic for seven years followed by Neals Yard Therapy Rooms in Tunbridge Wells for five years, until it closed in 2019. I met some great therapists and clients, so I wanted to continue to work independently to maintain my client base. After looking around I eventually found a space
The TN card is the loyalty card that rewards our community for supporting local at over 900 independents across Tunbridge Wells and the TN postcodes. This month, Founder Jess Gibson chats to TN card partner Deborah Borfecchia, Owner of The Spring Rooms, tucked behind The Pantiles on Sussex Mews… on The Pantiles. I wanted to create something unique where therapists could work well and clients could leave the outside world behind. The Spring Rooms was ready to open in March 2020 but Covid closed that opportunity. However this gave me time to refine my offering and really build the business. We finally opened under strict guidance in July 2020 and from day one we were able to help and treat people. What makes The Spring Rooms special? We feel it is all about the people. We believe in all our therapists, and we love our clients, and we all work together and support each other to deliver the best solutions for the issues raised. We want clients to return and benefit from our expertise, there is nothing more rewarding than helping people back to good health and being part of their journey. Ensuring we can deliver the right treatments in a relaxing, calming and warm environment is so rewarding.
Do you provide rooms for therapists to hire? Yes, we provide a space for independent therapists like psychotherapists counsellors, nutritionists, coaches, acupuncturists and osteopaths to hire but every therapist is interviewed and trade tested (where applicable) to ensure that there is a fit within The Spring Rooms and something that would complement the current offer or something that is new that can be a benefit to our clients. Why did you join the TN card and how do you thank members for supporting local? We believe in community, the stronger we are together the better we can deliver for our community and support each other. TN card members receive 10% discount on 55-minute treatments from massage to reflexology, and we encourage people to sign up and benefit from the hundreds of rewards the card provides, not just at the Spring Rooms but all over Tunbridge Wells.
