The town of Lisbon, Maine, is conveniently located between the coastal community of Brunswick and the metropolitan cities of Lewiston/Auburn. Nestled along the Androscoggin River, Lisbon boasts excellent dining, unique retail and first-rate outdoor recreational options.

Located in the historic Moxie building, Frank’s Restaurant and Pub pays tribute to the history of Lisbon and provides a family friendly atmosphere with a hardy American menu. Just up the road, Flux Restaurant has perfected “farm to table” cuisine and provides a unique selection of dining options with an assortment of craft beer. Chummy’s Diner provides classic diner fare for breakfast and lunch, and the Railroad Pub has a fantastic menu with live music options all summer under the outdoor tent.

Blending excellent food with retail, Bonneau’s Sausage Kitchen makes their world-renowned sausage right in Lisbon. Stop by their retail location on Main Street for a great selection of products. Lisbon also boasts the Maine Art Glass Studio and Insect Museum, featuring a stellar collection of stained-glass products created here in Maine and a huge selection of exotic insects. Eastcraeft on Main Street offers new boutique styles for women, carefully curated consignment, and locally made goods. On a rainy day, Walt’s Place offers a full selection of arcade and virtual reality gaming, including a mechanical bull.

If outdoor activities are what you seek, Lisbon offers a 337-acre wooded park, a breathtakingly picturesque four-mile walk/bike trail system, the world famous Moxie Festival, as well as a vibrant outdoor summer concert series.

Beaver Park offers activities such as swimming, picnicking, fishing, seven miles of hiking/cross-country ski trail, and a fitness course with exercise stations at three different locations along the one-mile course as well as abundant wildflowers and wildlife.

The Lisbon Trail System consists of a total of four miles of bicycle and pedestrian trails. The trails can be accessed at either end or in the middle via Lisbon Community School or Miller Park. The paved trails will take you by farmland, the Sabattus River and the Androscoggin River, which offers scenic views and bird watching. Benches, picnic tables and dog waste stations are available along the trail.
