The Malvasia wines are produced in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Corsica, the Iberian Peninsula, the island of Madeira, California, Australia and Brazil, but none can be compared with the wine of the Canary Islands, especially the wine which is produced in Lanzarote, such an exquisite wine named in the classical literature, for example in the works of Shakespeare. Lanzarote is the island with more area dedicated to the cultivation of Malvasia, especially in the western part of the island which is

known worldwide because its Malvasia plantations recreate a beauty scene unique in the world that resembles the lunar landscape. The grape variety that dominates the island is the Malvasia of Lanzarote, a variety of canary origin from a cross between the Aromatic Malvasia (of Greek origin) and Marmajuelo. It is a variety of a small white grape adapted to the environment, with light aromatic touches which has a half life of 30 and 50 years, with these vines dry white wines, semi sweet, sweet
