FEATURED EVENTS AT B’NAI EMUNAH BABY BLESSING FOR LIOR LEVITT

RACHEL KUSHNER AT THE SYNAGOGUE

Lior Rafael Levitt, newborn son of Sara and Matt Levitt, will be formally welcomed into his new congregational family on Saturday evening, May 25, 2019.

Magic City Books, in partnership with the Bob Dylan Center and the Synagogue, is proud to welcome Rachel Kushner to Tulsa on Thursday May 16. This evening of conversation will take place at The Synagogue | Congregation B’nai Emunah.

The event will begin with a sweet and colorful Havdalah ceremony to mark the close of the Sabbath at 8:30 p.m. Shortly after 9:00 p.m., the congregation is invited to attend a dessert reception in Lior’s honor.

Ms. Kushner’s latest book, The Mars Room, was short-listed for the 2019 Man Booker Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her previous novels, The Flamethrowers and Telex from Cuba, were both finalists for the National Book Award. Rachel Kushner is widely considered one of the best novelists in America.

Please call the Synagogue or use our website (www.tulsagogue.com) to let us know of your plans. Many different arrangements will be made with the expected number of attendees in mind.

Praise for The Mars Room has been consistently lavish:

Please note that the regular Afternoon and Evening Services on May 25 will begin at 8:10 p.m.
